Santa Ema
Gran Reserva Merlot from the Maipo Valley, made by the Pavone family, now in its fourth generation. Ageing in barrels chosen specially for this wine brings aromas of chocolate and vanilla alongside red fruit and roasted coffee. Very silky on the palate, with round, ripe tannins.
Winery
Valle del Maipo
Chilean family winery in Isla de Maipo, a few kilometres from Santiago. The Pavone family, immigrants from Piedmont, settled in the Maipo region in 1917, acquired the Santa Ema estate in 1931, and in 1956 Félix Pavone Arbea founded the winery. Today the fourth generation runs it, and it has held a sustainability certification since 2011.
