Familia Schroeder
100% Chardonnay from hand-harvested fruit in the second week of February. Maceration for 6 hours in pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts at 14-16°C for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. Aging on lees under inert gas until stabilization and final blending. Naturally stabilized wine, bottled unfiltered.
Winery
Patagonia
A pioneering winery of Argentine Patagonia, founded in 1998 by the Schroeder family in San Patricio del Chañar, Neuquén. Among the first to demonstrate the winemaking potential of Patagonia as a high-altitude region. The name Saurus is a tribute to dinosaur fossils found in the area during the installation of the vineyards. Its extreme terroir—very cold nights, strong diurnal thermal amplitude, and sandy, well-drained soils—defines the high-freshness wines and intense fruity profile that characterize them.
